Kindly review this policy thoroughly prior to reserving a service. When you book a yacht rental with NexusThreshold, you are accepting these terms for refunds.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete reimbursement excluding processing charges

Processing Duration: 5-7 working days

Handling Charge: €50 for transactions via credit card

Requirements: Must be requested in writing through email or by telephone

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the overall yacht rental cost

Processing Duration: 7-10 working days

Handling Charge: €25 subtracted from the reimbursement

Requirements: A valid justification is needed; administrative charges will apply

Less than 24 Hours Prior to Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No refunds are possible

Exception: Exceptions for emergencies might be considered

Alternative: At the discretion of the management, credit for future charters might be offered

Requirements: Documentation is mandatory for emergency related claims

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Your safety is our utmost concern. If sailing conditions are determined unsafe by our licensed captain, we offer various alternatives:

  • Full Refund: A 100% refund will be given if it's not feasible to reschedule
  • Reschedule: We'll change the date of your charter to an available slot with no extra fee
  • Charter Credit: Credit assigned valid for one year from the initial charter date

Weather Assessment Procedure

Our evaluation of the weather includes:

  • Evaluating wind speed and direction
  • Checking sea conditions and wave heights
  • Forecasting visibility and precipitation
  • Heeding Coast Guard advisories and warnings
  • The safety assessment from a professional captain

Decision Timeframe: Decisions regarding weather cancellations are made no later than 4 hours before the set departure time.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Situations

We are sympathetic to the fact that sudden medical emergencies may happen. The following incidents might be eligible for special consideration:

  • Unexpected illness or injury demanding hospitalization
  • Passing of an immediate family member
  • Military deployment or urgent recall
  • Summoned for jury duty or court subpoena
  • Natural calamities impacting travel arrangements

Required Documentation

To review requests for emergency refunds, we will need:

  • A medical certificate or hospital records
  • Death certificate (if applicable)
  • Official military orders
  • Legally mandated court summons or juror notification
  • Emergency declarations or travel warnings

Procedure: Refunds due to emergencies are processed within 3-5 business days after proper documentation is received.

Operational Cancellations

Technical Complications

In the event that your designated craft encounters technical issues that can't be fixed:

  • Alternate Vessel: Our effort will be to arrange a similar substitute
  • Full Refund: In case an appropriate substitute isn't available
  • Partial Refund: If the alternate vessel offered is priced differently
  • Compensation: Additional amends could be provided for any inconvenience caused

Crew Unavailability

If, on rare occasions, a certified crew is not available:

  • An alternative crew will be arranged if possible
  • Complete refund if the charter cannot proceed
  • Rescheduling the charter with no extra charges

Refund Processing

Method of Payment

Refunds will be reverted to the same method of payment used for the reservation:

  • Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

Handling Fees

Card Transaction Handling

A €50 fee applies to cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance

Reimbursement via Bank Transfer

A handling fee of €25 for all refunds via bank transfers

International Transaction Fees

Additional costs might be applicable for transactions crossing national borders

Charter Credits

Circumstances for Credit Issuance

In certain cases, credits for yacht rentals could be provided instead of refunds:

  • Late cancellations (less than a day's notice)
  • Cancellations linked to weather conditions
  • Requests for rescheduling by the client
  • Disruptions in operations

Conditions Pertaining to Credits

  • Validity: Credits are valid for one year from the date of issuance
  • Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals
  • Amount: The full value of the charter (without deduction for processing costs)
  • Application: Credits may be used for any available yacht rentals
  • Expiry: No extensions will be allowed past the one-year mark

Partial Service Refunds

Interruptions During Service

Should your yacht rental experience interruptions or shortenings due to factors we control:

  • Pro-rata refund corresponding to the unutilised period
  • Credits for an equivalent future yacht rental
  • Complimentary additional services or upgrades may be extended

Interruptions Caused by Guests

If a yacht rental ends prematurely due to the conduct of guests or violation of safety norms:

  • No restitution for the portion not utilized
  • The entire payment must still be settled
  • Potential additional costs may be incurred

Resolving Disputes

In the event of disagreement with a decision related to refunds, options include:

  • Applying for re-evaluation by our management authorities
  • Submitting extra information or proof
  • Engaging consumer protection bodies for mediation
  • Legal action as sanctioned by the relevant laws

  • Reason for cancellation
  • Any supporting documentation, if relevant
  • Desired method for refund

Step 3: Assessment and Completion

Upon receipt of your request, we will acknowledge within a day, assess according to our terms, communicate the decision within two days, and initiate any approved refunds within the timeframes mentioned earlier.

Essential Information

  • All requests for refunds must be documented in writing
  • Repayments are made in € regardless of the original currency used
  • It's highly advised to opt for travel insurance
  • The refund policy may be altered given a notice period of 30 days
  • All reimbursements comply with taxes and existing laws
